Hornets Venom GT Unveils Schedule for Remainder of 2020 NBA 2K League Regular Season

June 18, 2020 – The NBA 2K League has revealed the schedule for the remainder of the 2020 season, which includes the extension of remote gameplay.  Hornets Venom GT, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, will play nine regular-season games from weeks 8-14, in addition to participating in THE TURN powered by AT&T.

After posting a 5-2 regular-season record so far in 2020, Hornets Venom GT will return to action on Tuesday, June 23, to face Jazz Gaming at 10 p.m. The matchup will take on added meaning for Hornets Venom GT guard Alex “Expose” Whelan, who will face off against his twin brother, Jazz Gaming guard Freddy “GetonMylevel” Whelan.  Additional highlights include a July 1 contest against Warriors Gaming Squad, the former team of Hornets Venom GT center Xavier “Type” Vescovi, and the July 31 NBA 2K League Game of the Week against fellow expansion team Gen.G Tigers.

Each matchup will be a best-of-three format, with the series representing one regular-season win or loss.  Games will be broadcast live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels, with select games being featured on ESPN2.
