Limited-Edition NFT Available For $4.99 Through Hornets App At 8 p.m. Tonight
May 27, 2021 – Hornets Venom GT, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, tonight will launch its first-ever NFT in conjunction with the start of the 2021 NBA 2K League regular season, becoming the first team in the league to release an NFT.
The commemorative NFT will be available for purchase on the Hornets App beginning at 8 p.m., coinciding with tipoff of the team’s game against Hawks Talon GC, for $4.99 in U.S. currency. The release will be limited to 88 pieces and the NFTs will be minted on the Flow Blockchain.
The launch comes two weeks after the organization debuted the first-ever Hornets commemorative NFT on May 13 during the team’s final home game of the 2020-21 NBA regular season.
