HORNETS VENOM GT ANNOUNCES 2024 NBA 2K LEAGUE SCHEDULE

February 1, 2024 – The NBA 2K League today announced the schedule for the 2024 season, which will again be separated into 3v3 and 5v5 splits and include a combination of remote and in-person gameplay.

Hornets Venom GT will open 3v3 play on Thursday, February 29, with a pair of matchups against NBL Oz Gaming at 6:45 p.m. and Pistons GT at 8:15 p.m. The 3v3 portion of the season runs through the NBA 2K League Playoffs April 24-27. Following a bye week, Hornets Venom GT begins 5v5 play on Wednesday, May 8, taking on Knicks Gaming at 7:00 p.m.

One of the highlights of the season will come on Sunday, March 3, when Hornets Venom GT hosts Magic Gaming in live, in-person competition at Spectrum Center in a 3v3 group play contest during the SLAM OPEN. Additional information about tickets and accompanying activities will be available soon. The team will also travel to Atlanta to face off against Hawks Talon GC on Saturday, May 11, in 5v5 action during THE TIPOFF.

 

New this season, 3v3 tournaments will feature one week of group play followed by two weeks of bracket play, all of which will be fully remote. The only in-person play during 3v3 will be the NBA 2K League 3v3 Playoffs. For 5v5, tournaments will feature two weeks of remote group play, followed by one week of in-person bracket play. THE TICKET will have one day of remote play and one day of in-person play. The NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs will be entirely in-person from June 26-29.
