Hornets Venom GT Acquires No. 8 Pick in 2021 NBA 2K League Draft From Magic Gaming

November 23, 2020 – Hornets Venom GT, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today acquired the No. 8 pick in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft from Magic Gaming in exchange for guard Justin “Snubby” Stemerman.
Snubby joined Hornets Venom GT as the 18th overall pick in the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft. He finished his rookie season ranked 19th in the league in scoring at 24.1 points per game, to go with 4.8 assists and 1.8 steals. In 38 regular-season games, he shot 56.0% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point line.
With the trade, Hornets Venom GT now has a pair of first-round selections in the 2021 NBA 2K League Draft. The team acquired the 15th pick from Mavs Gaming on November 16, along with center Peter “PeteBeBallin” Malin and guard Justin “Sherm” Sherman, in exchange for forward Zaeya “Zae” Ishak, center Gerald “Sick One” Knapp and a 2021 second-round draft pick. PeteBeBallin, Sherm and Alex “Expose” Whelan make up Hornets Venom GT’s current roster.
Hornets Venom GT went 9-7 in its inaugural NBA 2K League season in 2020 and made the quarterfinals of the NBA 2K League Playoffs delivered by DoorDash.
