Hornets Venom GT Acquires Guard Michael “Tate” Tate from NetsGC in Exchange for Guard Jahaad “King Haad” Thomas

May 20, 2022 – Hornets Venom GT, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today acquired guard Michael “Tate” Tate from NetsGC in exchange for guard Jahaad “King Haad” Thomas.

Tate was selected by NetsGC with the 46^th overall pick in the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft. In the team’s six games during THE TIPOFF Powered by AT&T, Tate averaged 15.8 points and 10.2 assists, while shooting 49.0%, including 42.1% from beyond the three-point line. He handed out double-figure assists in each of the team’s first four games, all wins, and tallied double-doubles in three of the six contests.

Hornets Venom GT selected King Haad with the 48^th overall pick in the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft. King Haad averaged 13.0 points and 6.5 assists in five games during THE TIPOFF Powered by AT&T. He also played in the majority of the team’s games during the Coinbase SLAM OPEN.
